1. Role: Resident
2. (Research):Miriam was christened (daughter of Frederick & Eliza Freer) the same day as her cousin Pharoah Watts in Quorndon. Miriam was listed as Miriam Watts (not Freer) when staying with her grandfather John Watts in 1841. The 1841 census shows she was born 1826 (so baptised aged 10), two years before her parents marriage in 1828. Miriam's marriage certificate to WIlliam Cramp in 1846 shows her father's name as Frederick Freer. Miriam's maiden name in Charles Cramp's birth certificate is Watts not Freer. Conclusion is that Miriam was Miriam Watts (illegitimate daughter of Frederick Freer, her father, and Eliza Watts, her mother).; [Note Record]
3. (Research):Charles Freer was incorrectly transcribed in census indexes as Charles Rogers; [Note Record]
4. Role: Occupant
5. Baptised at the same day as her 1st cousin Pharoah Watts; [Note Record]
6. Role: Occupant Miriam and Pharoah (cousins) staying with grandparents
7. Role: Witness William Freer was probably Miriam's younger brother (b.1830) though he would have been 16. It could have been her cousin William Freer (b.18 Jun 1830) though again he would have been 16.
8. Baptised at the same ceremony as his brother Thomas and also nephew Charles Cramp (from Miram & William); [Note Record]
9. Baptised at the same ceremony as his brother Edward and also nephew Charles Cramp (from Miram & William); [Note Record]
10. Charles was a lodger with Martha Rogers family
11. Role: Resident Living a few doors up Baker Street from father-in-law John Watts
12. Role: Occupant Living on the same street as Ann Freer (Miriam's first cousin).
13. Living a few doors up Baker Street from father-in-law John Watts
14. The Destitute Asylum (now the Migration Museum) was the State Government's answer to dealing with those destitute - there were even rules for asylum inmates who were required to wear a uniform and those able to were required to work in the garden or kitchen. It was part of a complex buildings that from about 1856 once housed hundreds of men, women and children, many of which were orphans. The "incurably" sick, the disabled and the bedridden, alcoholics, immigrants with no relatives in the colony all bundled together in a series of buildings.
15. Listed on birth certificate as Mary Cramp; [Note Record]
16. Role: Witness
