Notes

1. Role: Resident See conflicting residence at Tom Freer's entry
2. Role: Visitor She was a niece to Tom Freer (b.1844) - his elder sister Sarah married Richard Hackney. Mary was listed by Tom as staying with them (in Quorndon) in 1871 aged 6 but her parents also listed her aged 4 as being at home that night in Mountsorrel (2 miles from Quorndon). The only Mary Hackney born 1864-67 in the region is Mary J. born 1867. The most likely conclusion is Tom's confusion as to which night she stayed with him and also as to her age. Also staying at the address was his niece Mary Hackney.
