1921 Census – first findings

So, the long awaited 1921 census has finally been published online. At £3.50 for each record it isn’t cheap but as a devoted genealogist I have been saving my pennies in anticipation for a while. My first purchase was the record for my great-grandfather, Frederick Blacknell.

Owen Ivor Owen making contact

My name is Owen Ivor Owen, born in Ruabon, Denbighshire – the son of Owen Thomas Owen and Sarah Ellen Davies. My father’s brother, Robert, married Ethel Blacknell whose father and brother, Ernest, used to visit us at our home in Ruabon.

There was also a Clara Davies (née Freer) who lived with her husband, Robert, and her father in Wynnstay Park in Ruabon.

Regards—-Ivor.
