My name is Owen Ivor Owen, born in Ruabon, Denbighshire – the son of Owen Thomas Owen and Sarah Ellen Davies. My father’s brother, Robert, married Ethel Blacknell whose father and brother, Ernest, used to visit us at our home in Ruabon.
There was also a Clara Davies (née Freer) who lived with her husband, Robert, and her father in Wynnstay Park in Ruabon.

I have since discovered that Ivor passed away in late 2011, aged 84. He had been in contact via email and shared a good deal of his own research with me. He left a son and daughter, Paul and Nicola, and grandchildren Joseph Owen, Daniel Clifford & Jamie Clifford. If they’d like to get in touch I’d be delighted.
