About a year ago I found a reference by Jeff Winter who had been researching the Blacknalls on the Calverton Guestbook website.
After getting in touch and checking his research notes, he supplied me with some background which confirmed that his wife is my 5th cousin (assuming all the other links are correct of course).
William Blacknall (grandfather of Samuel below) is my 4th-great-grandfather and Shauna’s too – making us 5th cousins.
Prior to this information I only had Samuel & Ann and their son William from 1871 census information.
