About a year ago I found a reference by Jeff Winter who had been researching the Blacknalls on the Calverton Guestbook website.
After getting in touch and checking his research notes, he supplied me with some background which confirmed that his wife is my 5th cousin (assuming all the other links are correct of course).
My name is Owen Ivor Owen, born in Ruabon, Denbighshire – the son of Owen Thomas Owen and Sarah Ellen Davies. My father’s brother, Robert, married Ethel Blacknell whose father and brother, Ernest, used to visit us at our home in Ruabon.
There was also a Clara Davies (née Freer) who lived with her husband, Robert, and her father in Wynnstay Park in Ruabon.
